Program Name: Telemedicine Delivery for Underserved Populations in Greater Newark

DESCRIPTION: This project is an interdisciplinary collaboration of Rutgers Business School, School of Public Affairs and Administration and School of Nursing. The focus is on delivery of non-acute outpatient healthcare facilitated by telemedicine/telehealth technology is a promising strategy for delivering affordable and accessible good-quality healthcare. An important feature of this proposal is the synergistic combination of theoretical research with hands-on practical projects, all related to telemedicine/telehealth technology that can benefit underserved populations. All project activities will emanate from a hands-on project of setting up at least one telemedicine clinic in underserved areas of Newark.
