Program Name: Newark City of Learning Collaborative (NCLC)

DESCRIPTION: The Newark City of Learning Collaborative (NCLC) is a city-wide postsecondary attainment initiative that seeks to increase the percentage of Newark residents who hold postsecondary degrees, credentials, and high-quality certificates to 25% by the year 2025. Currently housed at the Joseph C. Cornwall Center for Metropolitan Studies at Rutgers University-Newark, the NCLC is a collaborative network made up of over 60 partners across the city. The NCLC envisions a more economically vibrant and socially inclusive Newark. We aim to achieve this goal by expanding residents’ access to opportunities to complete college and other high-quality credentials. Our mission is to support, build, and strengthen postsecondary initiatives and to promote quality, equitable access and success for all students in the City of Newark.
