DESCRIPTION: This course focuses on entrepreneurial innovation in today’s networked society, the opportunities and limitations of this kind of innovation when applied to public service and nonprofit causes, and the broader implications of this innovation for those learning and working at our public urban research university. The course serves as exploration and living prototype of how universities might demonstrate public engagement, while remaining consistent with core missions of research and teaching. Students will be regularly engaging and coordinating with others – from within and outside the campus – to achieve assigned project challenges.
